Sagar Insurances tackle Pendle Hill in aid of the Pendleside Hospice

Sagar Insurances are proud to reveal that we have raised over £400 for the Pendleside Hospice after recently completing a charity climb of Pendle Hill.

11 members of the Sagar team were joined by clients, family and friends as they ascended the hill in gruelling conditions all for a truly fantastic cause.

A phenomenal £420 has been raised so far in donations for the walk, however we are expecting further donations to be completed in the coming days and are confident we will smash our £500 target!

How the day panned out

Towards the end of last month, a 25-person group that was organised by Sagar took on a sun-soaked Pendle Hill to raise money for the Pendleside Hospice.

The energy sapping 5-mile conquest took over 2 hours to complete, with a ten-minute break sandwiched in the middle to take a few pictures and enjoy the spectacular views of Lancashire.

Out of the 25 people who battled the climb, the youngest was certainly baby Sophie who ascended the hill strapped to her father’s back!

The astoundingly high temperatures meant the cool breeze at the top of Pendle Hill was welcomed by many, but maybe not as welcomed as the ice-cold pint that was enjoyed at the Pendle Inn by many after completing the trek.

The directors of Sagar have committed to matching the total money raised for this fundraiser, so hopefully the grand total raised will be close to an astonishing £1000 raised!

On top of this, stay tuned for further Pendleside fundraisers in the coming months, as Sagar will take part in the annual Pendleside Hospice Corporate Challenge with several other local businesses to help raise as much money for the hospice as possible!
