Burnley-based Automotive Tools knows that when you provide parts and equipment to clients as diverse as small garages right up the Ministry of Defence, you stand and fall by the quality of your suppliers.
The ambitious company – which currently employs nine – invests a lot of time in sourcing reliable suppliers of high quality tools and garage equipment.
Managing Director Peter Maddock applied the same care in choosing an independent local broker to source insurance cover that could one day cushion the company from a potential disaster .
He said: “The service we have had so far from Sagar Insurances has been very good,
“Judging from the personalities I have come across to date, I am confident that any future claims will be dealt with well too.
“We have a range of vehicles, including vans and forklift trucks. Our property and goods are also central to our business.
“I want insurance that I know will work for me if I need it to. It makes sense to use a local broker as you get the best personal service.”
Though Automotive Tools has come to rely on Sagar’s responsive advice and well-informed recommendations, Peter does not believe the insurance sector as a whole is flexible enough.
He said: “Insurance is seen as a necessary evil, costing a lot of money for something you “may” use in times of difficulty. When we take every precaution to safeguard our business it should be reflected in our premiums. In other words, premiums should be based on your own history, not the mistakes of others.”
Sagar Insurances works with clients to make sure that they are not paying for cover they don’t need, as well as ensuring all aspects of the business are protected to an appropriate level. Find out about the entire range of Business Insurance policies.
